Caring for your Boobs & Thermography Crash Course

I am being open and vulnerable in this post. We are talking all about boobies and how to keep them healthy.  Men, you are more than welcome to read this and share it with your wives, I just warn you to proceed with caution!

As a 35 year old woman, wife, and mother I think about the statistics of young women developing breast cancer. I watched a friend I taught with suffer and loose her battle with breast cancer leaving a young family behind.

My own mother had a very large tumor removed from her breast tissue and the doctors were amazed that is was benign. She had a mammogram and the little speck that they disregarded grew into a massive tumor.

You may have your own story. And you may ask the same questions:

Why? How? What?

WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT BREAST HEALTH IT TODAY?

I am sharing for those that want to take preventative action now instead of waiting until an age appropriate mammogram is covered by insurance. We are going to get real folks. If you don’t want to hear about my boobs then stop reading.

I started having pain in my right breast about 5 months ago. So painful that it felt like a water balloon about to burst. The pressure would release after my period began. Months came and went and some months it was worse and some it was better. All along, I new I needed to do something about it.

8 years ago, when my mom was going through the removal of her breast tumor, I had read about thermography.

WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY?

Thermography is also known as Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging. We will call it D.I.T.I

It is the only method for visualizing pain. You can get scans for any part of your body or your whole body.

I knew there was no way I would want my boob squished into a mammogram machine. Nor did I want to be exposed to unnecessary radiation if I had another alternative to try first. D.I.T.I is a noninvasive, no touch procedure that is FDA registered.

Using heat, it shows abnormalities present in the muscles, nerves, and organs in the body. Scans are read by a Thermologist, a certified doctor, for interpretation.  If there is an abnormality, then you are sent to the appropriate specialist.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MAMMOGRAM AND D.I.T.I?

D.I.T.I indicates the early stage of breast disease. It shows abnormalities in breast tissue or areas that could be of concern a couple years down the road if preventative body care is not taken.  If an early sign of cancer is present in the breast tissue the patient is then sent to have a mammogram completed. A mammogram measures the size of the tumor. The United States is one of the only countries that does not use D.I.T.I as a preventative to breast health. Australia and European countries use this technology to help women care for their breasts instead of trying to put out fires when disease has taken its place in the body.

WHY DON’T WE KNOW ABOUT D.I.T.I IN OUR COUNTRY?

Easy answer.  MONEY.  (check out: https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/truth-exposed-komen/).

In America, we dedicate a whole month to the ta-ta’s. It brings in good money to have EVERYTHING made pink, from sports jerseys to bumper stickers.

According to The National Breast Cancer Oranization. 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer in her lifetime. It is the second leading disease of cancer death in women. One woman will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes.

ARE THERE OTHER THINGS THAT SHOW UP IN A D.I.T.I THAT CAN HELP US UNDERSTAND OUR BODIES BETTER?

The outcome of my D.I.T.I scan showed that I had inflammation in my breast tissue due to fibrocystic and/or hormone imbalances. The lymphatic system in my breasts were also congested meaning I need to do a lymphatic massage daily with the use of an essential oil based massage oil to pump the lymphatic system.

The lymphatic system is the only system in your body that does not have a pump. That is why it is vital to drink clean water, move daily, and have routine massages.

Another cause of my severe pain is stress. We all hold stress in different parts of our body. Many women hold emotions and stress in their breasts. When stress levels rise so does cortisol. It is usually stored in our abdomen, but excess quantities can leach out to our breasts and can affect our breast tissue. This can cause serious problems down the road. (more at: http://cortisolconnection.com/ch6_6.php )

Right now, my protocol is stress management, breast massages, and to schedule another D.I.T.I in three months.  I am also taking it upon myself to schedule hormone testing to see if that could be a result of the pain.

If I would have let it go thinking it was normal to have painful boobs during PMS I would not have known the condition of my breast tissue and could have suffered severe repercussions later in my life. The cost of the breast scan was $125. For myself, that is worth it considering the cost of cancer treatment out of pocket and in emotional damage to a family.

It seems that if you want to take preventative measures you have to pay the cost.
Is your health worth it?
